We are crazy and bought a trampoline in the snow and put it up in the snow. We were a little cold to say the least. We sold the quad and the flatbed trailer today. So we celebrated with a new trampoline. This is our 1st new trampoline ever. The kids will have years of enjoyment out of it, we figured it was a good investment.

Megan's Song

This morning Megan was at the piano singing a song she made up. Now you have to understand she is looking at a Christmas song book with pictures in it. Here is her song: The kids made a Santa. Then Jesus came and Nordy came. Santa has deer and a bird too. And a owl too and two birds too. The angel came and saved them. Jesus all saved us. Then baby Jesus came too. Then the kids say they fall down. Then a church the lights turned on. The mommies and the daddies and th kids took a walk. I am good with my Jesus. Then the kids not be singing. Me be with Jesus before I was born. A mommy and a baby stayed together, with his mommy. A baby sheep say neigh. A baby sheep stayed with his mommy. A kid pulled a toy out of us's house. Me a baby. That poor baby. The camel came to save Mary. That is a star. It meant Jesus be born in Bethlehem. Then the baby cried wah, wah,wah. Over a road us be finding temple to go in. A king is on a roof. Now a kid is singing a lot of time. Santa came and the girl came with him. The cow "Holy" came out to see Jesus. There are kings on the camels. Then the princess got dead, no she not get dead. This is Haley's last primary activity. She is so sad. She still thinks she is 7 instead of 11 almost 12. I am sure that has to do with home schooling.

Megan's Birthday Party

Look at all those people. We had Grandma Orm's 90th birthday party on February 20,2010. We decided since everyone was here for that wonderful event we would have a birthday party for Megan. Alan Dean came home from his mission on Feb 17th. Paul came in right before he did. We picked them up at the airport and went to the Mongolian Grill for lunch. They stayed with us until they left on the 21st. They flipped his truck over after hitting ice. No one was hurt. The lumber rack saved their lives. That was on their way home right outside Alamosa,Co . Anyways back to Megan's birthday. It was nice having everyone together. It made me sad to think that we will be so far away from everyone in the family. My kids will miss their cousins very much.

Megan's Birthday

Megan got 3 cards from all her grandparents. She was so excited about those cards as you can tell on her face. My baby is 3. How sad. She is so sweet. Her and Dallin are not getting along to well.

Spencer lost his other tooth in February. He didn't lose that one. He got a dollar for it. He is my only child that is not totally with out front teeth. As you can see the other one is already half way in.

Life in the remodel

When we do school this is Haley's face everyday. She has been crying at me for 7 years now. I hope someday that changes. On top of homeschoolng taking Spencer to school and my normal house hold duties we are remodeling the house to get ready to sell.
This is where the window used to be in the laundry room. We took out the window and realized that the wall had mice crawling in it. The insulation was totally gone, so we had to repair the wall as well. Alan,Brenda,Christopher and Dallin moved in on February 1st. It has been quite a house full.

This is the missing back door. We finally retired the original door. No more squeeeeeeeek. We could actually sneak in now. Rob got a $250.00 door for $65.00 . What a deal.

Spencer's Life

Spencer lost his tooth and he swallowed it. When we took apart his room we never found it. So he missed out on the tooth fairy. It didn't really faze him because money doesn't mean much when you are 6. Spencer started school in January. He is going to Pleasant Glade Elementary. He decided he didn't want to listen or do anything his mother told him to do for school so now he is the first one in the Gifford house hold to go to public school. The first day was really hard for me. My heart hurt as he went into his class room. I want him at home, but he has to learn for himself. I asked him after a month of school if he liked public school or home school better he said public school. He told me it is because there is a gym and because of art. So I ask him if I had a gym and art classes would you rather be at home? He said yes. I am going to keep him in at least until the end of this year. We will see what next year holds. He is doing great in school and likes his teacher Mrs. Shellgren.

Burying the Baby

As you can see it was raining quite hard that day. We decided that heaven was crying with us. It was quite the emotional day for all of us. We were all crying. Rob said a prayer and dedicated the grave. I am so glad to have the knowledge that I will see this baby again. We were shown so much love during this time. It is amazing to me how I am handling this. I feel at peace. My father in law gave me a blessing when I found out I was pregnant. The only thing that stuck with me was when he said that this baby was supposed to be in this family. I am always going to cherish that blessing.

1st day of my D&E

We decided to do the D&E. I talked to a lot of friends and got everybodies opinion. We prayed about it and we decided for the recovery that we would do the D&E. Spencer went to Christophers until Thursday. Alan and Brenda came over for dinner on Sunday night and took Spencer home with them. We met Clarissa in Rochester to drop off the rest of the kids until Thursday. Then we were on our way to Seattle's Swedish Hospital. We left really early. We got there 2 hours early so we went to the humongous library. It was 9 stories tall. We read some magazines and I tryed to stay calm. I tryed to breath deeply. We saw the doctor named Dr Reisner. She was so nice and very sorry that we had to meet this way. She talk to us for about an hour and a half and then she put in 3 dialators. She said that doing it this way will not damage my cervix. So if we want to have anymore children we could. Then we went out to dinner. I was feeling fine. We went home and watched a movie and went to bed. I could think of nicer ways to spend 4 days with Rob without any children.

2nd day of my D&E

Today was not very much fun. The social worker was there to talk to ,we told her we would like to take the baby home and bury her. She had some very good thoughts about how the children are taking the death of their sister. They have been extra mean to each other which is not usual for them. They fight but not all the time and they have been since we found out about the baby. Bryce has been getting in trouble and crying a lot. Haley is just being mean to everyone. She is very angry. Spencer has been a pest almost to drive us crazy .He is doing all he can do be defient. So they are all having a hard time. Their not alone, so are we.
I saw the sergon after that. His name is Dr Gorenberg. He put 7 dialators in it hurt so badly. He was not very gentle. I was in a great deal of pain. I took two percaset .

My D&E

I had to fast going into the surgery so I was a little hungry this moring. My friends told me that they were naughous,but I wasn't. We had to be there at 9:30 for a 11:30 surgery. The nurse took us back and asked us a ton of questions and took 10 viles of blood. They had to call the doctor because that was more blood then they had ever taken from a patient going into surgery. They are going to check for problems that may have to do with the baby. Then I got the IV put in my hand and then they took me away to the surgery room. I was in the room for about a minute and that is all I remember . The next thing I knew is that I was waking up and I wasn't pregnant any more. I had a cry as I came out off it. She was gone it was really happening. Rob came in to see me. They let me eat a grahnm craker and apple juice. It tasted so good. It had been 13 hours since I had eaten. They finally let us go home at 4:00. I was so hungry by then. We stopped for a sub. It tasted so good. I wasn't hurting at all. Compared to last night this was a cake walk.

Christmas Festivities

The month of December was not a good month for the Gifford's. On December 9th Spencer got to feel the baby move and see her move in my belly. He thought that was so cool. I went in for a doctors appointment on the 10th and Dr Gage couldn't find a heartbeat with the dopler. She did an ultrasound and there was no heartbeat. Her chest was already sunk and the measurements were 16 weeks 5 days but Dr Gage said that it was the last few days. I think it happened the day of the doctors appointment. I didn't feel any movement that day and I felt like something was wrong. I held it together pretty good at the doctors office. I came home and went in the bathroom and just wept. Then I called Rob and told him. He was in total shock. He came home right away and gave me a hug. The kids were all very sad. I had an ultrasound the next morning at 9:30. Rob couldn't go so I took Stephine Colman. We were both crying including the ultrasound tech. Then I went home and call Rob. My choices were be put into labor or have a D&E so since it was Friday I told her I would let her know on Monday. We called the family . Which was hard. I was a mess that day. I couldn't believe this was happening to us. I know that Heavenly Father is in charge. He loves us and knows we can handle this. We found out that it was a girl. We named her Sarah Joan Gifford. We know that we will be with her again. I hadn't written anything on the blog about being pregnant because of the last 2 miscarriages. Now it is 3. Well our December wasn't very Christmasy. It is a good time to think of Jesus Christ,he came to earth to take away my sorrows. He has felt my sadness and emptyness.
We did a few things like decorate Christmas cookies and go to Spanaway lights. Other then that is was really depressing.

Gifford Family Reunion 2009

Last day of our trip

Our last day on our trip. Back to reality and what will happen with the life.
Some days I don't like reality. We left at 6:00AM from the hotel and stopped around 8:30 to have cold sugar cearal which is not good to give my children before going to church. We haven't watch any movies on this trip except for the ones in the hotel rooms. Hotels are loosing there excitment after 15 nights. We would all like our own beds. At 12:00 we drove into Doug and Clarissa's ward and they let us borrow some clothes because ours were dirty. Spencer got to go to church in flip-flops. We couldn't find his shoes.
This picture is on highway 84. What we were looking at is HOME Washington. The kids were so excited.
Bryce and spencer were fighting in the back seat and I am guessing because of the elivation change, Spencer got a bloody nose. Bryce punched him in the nose.

Look we are back to the green trees and the rain.We came home in time to be at the baptizm of Joeseph. He is the young man that Bill and Becki were going to adopt but didn't. Bill got to baptize him, which was so exciting.

Day 15 of Our NC Road Trip Aug 8,2009

The Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. It was Waffles,biskets and gravy, cearal,oatmeal,muffins,toast,and juice. We were nice and full. We made it to Salt Lake City were the trek west ended or should I say began.

Here is a good big brother. Megan loves him.

Day 14 of Our NC Road Trip Aug 7,2009

Dave and Cari saw us off at about 7:30. We stopped at Burger King for breakfast. This was going to be our longest day in the truck. We need to make up some time today.This picture was actually taken on the way to North Carolina,but that is all we saw of it .While we were about to drive under it I snapped a picture. On the way home we stopped to see the museum. This is where the different pioneers crossed paths. There were the 49ers,Mormons,Oregan Trail and another one that I can think of. When we got there they take you up an excalator to the pioneer time. They give you earphones and you have a self guided tour through the museum which is over the freeway.

I had to take a picture of this, it just shows the strength and the faith the pioneers had to cross the plains and the rocky Mountains. They lost so many loved ones on the journey.listening to pioneer storiesThey even talked about the Auto and its trek west.The tour was over but it was well worth the money to see it. It fit in so nicely with our learning all about the mormon pioneers.This was on the side of the free way at a rest stop. It looked like Abe was going to fall on you because of the clouds in the sky. It was really high up as you can tell by the kids looking at him.Look we got a state line.

We Met up with Dad ,Mom,Aunt Linda and Grandma Orm. The kids were playing at the fire station to get some energy out.

The kids were so excited about this tunnel. There was quite alot of them in the East coast.

Day 13 Our NC Road Trip Aug,6,2009

The morning started off with sugared cearal. Great thing to have when you are going to be in a car all day. This is the Independence,MI visitor center. The kids thought this was a lot of fun.
They were packing the covered wagon to take to Nauvoo.

Megan didn't have anymore pants clean so sh went in her diapers. We didn't have time to stop at a laundry mat. We will do them on at Cari's.

The 1 week old baby. We got to see her first. Haley loves holding babies except my babies. She doesn't like them very much.

This is Liberty Jail where Joseph Smith and 4 other men were lock up in for over 100 days. The ceilings were only 6 ft and one of the men in there was 6ft 5 in. They slept on the floor and were in there during the winter it was so cold that the two rivers froze over. Which never happens. The walls were 4ft thick. As you can see the stones on the outside and ten loose rocks and then wood. No one ever escaped from that jail. That is what jails should be like now. Not many people would be return affenders.

We were in the middle of the tour through Liberty jail and Bryce yells AUNT CARI ,AUNT CARI!!!!! so we finally got to see them. We went to a mexican reasurant for lunch. After the tour we followed Dave and Cari 2 hours to their house. That is where we spent the rest of the night. We stayed up until midnight. It was a nice visit. I did 4 batches of laundry. Yeh we have clean clothes again.

Day 12 of Our Trip To NC

Look at that bat!!! It is Huge. That was a fun day. Today we got up and left at 8:00 Am and went to the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. All the bats from the major leagues were and are made there.

The kids really enjoyed themselves. They are being clowns.

We made it to Indiana. We stopped in Santa Claus,IN . The home of Santa Claus. It was alot of fun.

There was a Santa Claus Museum. The kids thought it was fun to ride on Santa's Slay.They got to write Santa a letter.

Day 11 of our Trip To NC

This was the sad,tired morning of saying good bye. We got a whole 5 hours of sleep. We love the Catrons and we are going to mess them a lot. All the hugging and crying and saddness.

Day 10 of our trip to NC

I thought that the moon was so pretty. Tennessee was really pretty. I like it. We got up this morning at 8:00 AM. We needed th sleep. We had the best breakfast every. Good old Southern hospitality. A guy asked me what date it was and I could not understand him. He had such a thick southern accsent. The kids went back in the pool. Even Megan went in the pool. We checked out at 12:00. My laundry still wasn't done there were to many people ahead of us in the laundry mat. We finally left Chatanooga at 3:00 PM. We still had to drive 9 hours. I don't drive so well at night. Shelly Zac and Spence went with me. Zac was totally lithargic. He hadn't eaten in lots of days. We stopped for dinner at Dariy Queen. When we stopped for gas I got a Sobie. This was my last day on tegretol. We made it there by 1:30 Am. It was do nice to get there. I just wanted a bed. At least I had Air conditioning. Larry's did not and it was at least 100 degrees driving through Goergia. Poor guy and I think that is when he got the stomach flu. It took ONLY 10 days to get there. I hope we do better on the way home.

Day 9 of our trip to NC

We got up this morning at 7:00 Isn't that unbelievable? Rob was the one sick now. He doesn't feel well. We went to take the stuff to James' and pick up the tarus for me to drive the rest of the way to NC. The Gifford Family postpone the family reunion for us. So we don't have to be home until Sunday night instead of Thursday night. which is good because of what happened next. We dropped the stuff off at James' and got on the road. Larry was supposed to be at work tomorrow,Monday. Today did not feel like a Sunday. We were about 20 minutes from James' and I noticed smoke coming from the rear wheel of the 5th wheel. I told Larry that he might want to pull over. Rob and Larry looked at it and just shook their heads. I knew it was bad news. The wheel bearing was so bad that it melted all of the plastic fittings . So we pulled off into the worst part of Chatanooga that we could of . We had to go to the bathroom and the convenant store next to us was the most discusting smell in the bathroom that I have ever smelled so I used the 5th wheel which I can tell you wasn't much better. It was in the 90's and we were all outside and poor Rob was trying to not to throw-up. They could not get it loose. They called AAA. They sent a toe truck that wasn't big enough so we followed him to his shop. We got a hotel for the night this is the kids playing while the dads worked on the tire.

The kids got to cool off in the pool. We ordered pizza and watched a movie. What an exciting day. Now we won't get there until Tuesday.

Day 8 of Our Trip to NC

I woke up this moring having to go to the bathroom about 50 times . I was so weak I was glad I did not have to drive. Shelly and Zac were in the bathroom all morning too. We finally left at 9:30. We drove through St Louis today. We saw the arch from the freeway it was really exciting. Larry went on the wrong freeway so we had to stop at McDonald and eat lunch and wait again. We are not getting there very fast. 2 hours latter we were on the road again. the Catrons were trying to get to a bank to transfer money to pay for gas.During that day Bryce was our last child hold out to get the stamach flu. He was # 8. He threw-up all over the Catrons truck. So we put all the sickies together. We got to a ma and pa resturant for dinner which was so good because I hadn't eaten anything in 24hrs. Now Rob was looking sick. He said he was fine but I knew better. We got to a hotel at 10:00pm and James went on home. He wanted to sleep in his own bed.

Next time we will acctually stop to see it.

We headed for Nauvoo today and we got there about time for all the shops to be closed and it was pagent time in Nauvoo but we couldn't stay because we were supposed to be in NC by Friday. Day # 6 of Our Trip to NC

We Woke up at 6:oo this morning and left at 8:00. This happened at 11:00AM in the middle of NE. As you can tell there is nothing in Nebraska. It was the spare tire that blow up and it made the truck sway. The hole was about a foot wide it flew at the Taurus. That is one heavy trailer.

Spencer just chilling waiting and more waiting. Can you say nothing in Nebraska. this is what we looked at for 2 days.

This was our stop to winter Quarters We got there at 7:45 and they closed at 8:00.

We kept driving until 12:00. We stopped at a motel that was being remodeled. The water was shut off in our room. James got the stomach fly that night and was sick all night. It was not a very restful night. There was party going on in the room next to us. I wanted to pound on the wall.

Day # 5 of Our Trip to NC

This morning we could actually sleep in because we had to wait to get two tires and put them on. Haley was excited about sleeping in a 2 room cabin and woke up at 6:00 South Dakota time. We stayed at an KOA Cluster,SD. Which is really close to Mt. Rushmoore. Then Haley woke up the baby who was throwing up all day yesterday. What a great morning. We went over to the Catrons and had a barbque breakfast of bacon,pork chops,and pancakes. Sister Catron's blood sugar was in the 300's. She wasn't doing so well. After breakfast the guys went to get 2 tires just in case we loose another one. The kids got to play at the park and I was going to do some laundry when James told me we had to be out of there in 20 minutes, so I put everything in the taurus. We went to put everything back in the 5th wheel. Shelly was not happy. The 5th wheel now looked worst then it did before. While we were packing Megan comes wondering across 3 streets and finds us. I was livid. Haley was supposed to be watching her. She was in big trouble. I am just glad Megan has a gardian angel with her. The guys came back with the tires and then Shelly and Larry got in a fight ,so Rob and I went to put the tire on. When we got there we realized that Larry had the lug nuts. We took a couple of the lug nuts from the other tires and realized that Larry had the key to the ball. This is not our day. We went back and they followed us to the trailer. We were on the road at 2:00PM . We drove until 9:00PM.

Day # 4 and 3 of Our Trip to NC

This the first blow of many.This morning we got up and ate breakfast. We left at 11:00 AM We got to Gillette,WY . It was raining to add insult to injury. We had to disconnect the trailer and get a motel.

this was actually day 3. Rob got up early and bought a used tire and put it on. They went 10 miles down the road and the other tire blew. We finally got on the road at 1:00PM . This is Megan who has the stomach Flu. Poor baby.

She doesn't look very good. Spencer had it that day too.

We made it to Mt Rushmoore.

We got to see it light up. They did a presentation on the building of this amazing sculpture. Larry got to be honored for being a vet and he got to touch the american flag that they flew that night.

I didn't take any pictures on this day. Haley had the Stomach flu. The first one yay!!! We left Kellog, Id at 6:00 Am and Shelly just went to bed. We went to church this morning in Kellog. We knew that the tires were rubbing against the inter-fenders. One of the brethern at church took the guys to his house and put washers on the tires to keep them from rubbing. We were blessed for going to church. we actually made it to Montana tonight. Spencer threw up in the hotel room. What fun. I was glad to be in a hotel room then in the car.

We left on our trip on Friday night July 24,2009 at 10:05 PM. We were all running on no sleep we have been packing for days. We were so glad to be on our way. We made it to Ellensburg at 3:00 Am We found this hotel room with 3 queen beds in it. The airmattress was aired up and the girls slept on it. The problem when we got there was the kids thought they slept long enough and it was time to get up. Spencer was the worst. He was walking around wresling everyone. We were all yelling at him. He wanted to sleep on the bed so he was throwing the biggest fit ,so I gave in and put him on the bed. I slept on the airmattress with the girls. When I woke up in the morning I couldn't feel my hips.

We found a free rv camping ground. We slept in the tent. We went to Denny's for dinner and all the kids ate free. Today was our free day. Which is good because the rest of the trip was really expencive.

Spencer and Megan's first airplane ride. I got to take all 4 kids on the plane all by myself. Rob had to work. We went for a week and a half. The airline trip was really good. The hardest part was getting all the kids and the stuff through secrurity. Luckly it was summer and they had flip-flops on. They were wonderful on the plane except for the kicking the back of the chair in front of them.

We went a Padrae game. The trolly took us there. Rob was going to meet us there from the airport. We were all very excited to see him again.

We had tickets for the grass area and we did it so we could see the fireworks afterwards and the grass area had to be cleared out by 7th inning . So we didn't get to see the end of the game or the fireworks. Rob got there and Tammy sold his ticket so he couldn't come in. We got on the wrong trolly and then we got off the trolly and walked about 2 miles back to the place we started. Then we waited for the next trolly back to La Mesa. It took us 3 hours to get back. We slept well that night.

The kids had a hola hoop contest. Ashley won. Haley and Bryce did really good. I can't do it at all.

Field Trip To Port Gamble

Haley is learning about the sea. In Fort Gamble there is a shell museum. It was very impressive. The kids really enjoyed themselves. Sue Swenson went with us because that's who is teaching Haley.

After we left the museum we went to Cheif Sealth's grave. That is who Seattle was named after. We walked all around the cemetary. It was huge, they thought they had died and gone to heaven.

We got 16 new additions to our family this week. We got 10 more laying hens and 6 fryers. The kids are not excited about the fryers. We told them not to get attatched to them. Like that will happen. They will get to learn how animals give up their lives to feed us. We butchered the pigs a couple weeks ago and Haley cryed for about 3 hours.

Well Rob is back to work. He is back to manual labor and not complaining about it at all. We still don't know what we are doing with Gardners Trust. Rob met Dave Gardner at the John Deere store and said that he wanted Rob to work with him and be his forman over his landscaping part of his business. We still don't know all of the details of how that is going to work yet. We may get rid of the Gifford Tractor or we may not it is still up in the air. Rob did start doing jobs again because we are out of money. He rested for 2 entire months and he is improving every day.

Thank goodness for books. We read to her all day long. She loves books. You can see were her IV is in this picture. She didn't even bother it unless her medicine was wearing off. Thy did such a good job with the IV she didn't even bruise.

Well Rob can lift some things today. That is so exciting. I started Kimber Academy with Bryce last week and I love it. It is so much easier to homeschool one child then it is to do three. Haley is going to Sue Swensons for school. She has been such a blessing in my life. Spencer is going to Shelly Catron's for kindergarten. I have such wonderful friends.

I wanted to write when I got back from Johnathon Stevens funeral but I got busy. The bishop of their ward gave the most wonderful talk on the great plan of happiness. He said that we are not here to be the judge of Johnny's life that someone who knows his heart and the deeds he has done will be his judge. I am so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who knows each of us and loves us individually. The funeral made me realize that I have know right to judge Johnny for committing suicide. Someone perfect will do that. I am so greatful for the spirit that touches my life in so many ways.

the only thing that happen new around here is we had to put our cat on a diet. He can't even lick his back without falling over. It is rather humorous when he falls on his back. Today I caught him eating his food laying down, he reminds me of Garfield. He has only one little bowl of food. We also had a chicken die. We are down to 6 now. We will get more in the spring.

Rob in his not so favorite chair.My life is very exciting not. Haley is enjoying going to Sues for school. She is actually learning which is wonderful. At least that is one less thing to be stressing over in my life. Which it was my biggest stress in life. Now it is wondering what we are going to do to make money. I have been cutting hair to make a little extra money. The ward members have stepped up and helped us out greatly. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for the blessing he has given my family. We are so blessed to live in this day and time. We have such wonderful friends who take good care of us.

Rob is getting better daily. It is still going to be a long hall. He is getting so bored and his back is starting to hurt. When he walks he walks like an old man. I feel so bad for him.

The Day in a Life of the Gifford Family

It has not been that exciting lately. Poor Rob is sitting and sleeping in the blue recliner. He got up to much today. He was helping someone in our ward with his car. He wasn't doing anything except standing there. Then he needed a shower. He hadn't had one because undressing is so painful. It is so hard watching my stong man be in pain. I put him to work homeschooling the boys. Haley is now going to Sue Swensons for homeschooling. This was the first day and she had a ball. I am so excited about this. Sue is an answer to my many prayers. I don't have to teach Haley any subjects. Now the boys have more time with me. I love Haley with all my heart. We have just not been seeing eye to eye for the last 3 years. I did not want to put here in school. I want to keep homeschooling but it was getting really stressful. Now she still at home most of the time. She is not being influenced by the children her age at school everyday.
We got a call from our friend that is a orthopitic surgon . He did not recomenned surgery on Rob's arm. He said that Rob would be down for at least 4 weeks. He said that after the 4 weeks to let pain be his guide. It is going to be a long haul.

New Years Festivities

Some of the guys were playing on quads, the other guys were watching football. The rest of us were visiting.

It was really slippery out there. They were slidding around. Having a ball.

Then the playing was done. Rob, Cari, Dad, Alan,and I were on our way to the hospital. Rob is the one that got hurt. The first time Rob was the one usally it is Doug. I was at Doug's house and Haley came in and said that Rob had crashed. She said that he had broken his arm. I went running. Everyone was around him. He could not move, a bone was sticking out on his shoulder. So we got him up and he almost past out. His face went white. His lips were white. Robs face going white is really scarry. I almost took a picture while he was laying on the ground. Cari drove the truck so that I could comfort Rob. We could tell when the medicine kicked in because his lips got color back in them. We got to Saint Peters at about 4:30. We got in very fast. We were seen and they took us right to the room.

Here is Rob waiting in the waiting room at St. Peters. Here are the X-rays: The left side is how it is supposed to be the right is the way it is now. He seperated his shoulder. The doctor said it was a third degree, which is the worst one you can do. It is the ligament between the Collar bone and the part of the shoulder blade. We will see the orthopeadic doctor on Monday. Of course the orthopeadic doctor is out for the holiday week.

Rob relaxing after they gave him some drugs to take away the pain. Well it not only took away the pain, but it took away his speach. He said he can't believe that peole would take drugs on purpose. We need everybodies prayers. Thanks, he got a priesthood blessing and we will make it through this. Heavenly Father always watches over us.

Burring the Calf

Here is Haley and the calf . My kids are learning about life and death. The calf was about 12 weeks old and very skinny. With the unusual cold weather he didn't have enough meat on his body without mom to keep him warm. We are all very sad.

Our sad part of the day. We had to bury our calf. It was very sad especially for Haley. All the kids took turns running the backhoe even Eliza. The girls even put flowers on the grave and some sticks.

New Years Breakfast

What a way to start off a new year. We woke all the kids up at 8:00 after being up until 1:00 the night before or should I say this morning. They usually have 10 hours of sleep a night and it usally starts earlier. We left late because no one would get in the truck . Haley wanted to make sure that we don't leave Spencer at home(which we do all the time according to Haley). We finally all got in the car at 8:45 and we still had to get gas. We were about 10 minutes late. Doug and Clarissa were there after us so we were not there last. All the families with the most kids were all late. Nanci and John family were able to come,they arrived the same time we did. By the time everyone got settled we didn't eat until 10:45. It was more of a brunch. It was good food and loud company. It was a mad house. We had 41 people come. I am sure that they were glad when we left. The people that were there were Grandma Orm, Aunt Audrey, Becki, Bill, Karlie, Alan, Brenda, Christopher, Dallin, Holly, Rob, Dawn, Haley, Bryce, Spencer, Megan, Nanci, John, Hyrum, Eliza, Jarom, Miriam, Abbigail, Joesph, Eve, Katherine, Doug, Clarissa, Payton, Savannah, Jillian, Isibelle, Dave, Cari, Gabe, Dave's parents and his little brother Jeffery. Bryce is 8 1/2 years old. He was baptized this year. He is my curious child. He is like his dad he wants to know how everything works. Somedays he is to smart for his own good or to smart for my good. He anwsers all the questions I ask in homeschool even the ones I ask Haley. He does anwser them right about 90% of the time. He is a fast reader sometimes he reads over me and reads for me. He is always there for a hug. He likes to stay clean. Bryce would rather be in the house playing on the computer or playing a board game then going outside. I am a mean mother I make him go outside to play. I think the kids need fresh air. He gets to take care of the animals. He gives the pigs water and slop and checks the chicken's nest for eggs. He is sweet to everyone except maybe Spencer who gets on his nerves sometimes. We love our 1st boy

Spencer

Spencer is 5 1/2 years old. He is learning to read and write this year. His older brother is teaching him how to read. Spencer is a very spirited child. He is a typical boy,he loves getting dirty and hates taking a bath. His favorite thing to do is hang out with his dad. If dad is outside, so is Spencer. He loves being outside. It is hard when it rains in the winter around here. Mom is ready to send them out in the rain to get out the wiggles. It is nice for him that his dad is home quite often. When dad goes to work Spencer asks all the time, "when is daddy coming home?" He also calls daddy on the phone. He is my left handed child that I thought it would be hard to teach to write, but he has beautiful penminship. He always tells me " I know how to write that mom!" He usually does. He is very stubborn. He loves hugs and kisses a little too much for Rob. He is going to give us a run for our money. He is the family clown. He loves anything fast, just like his Uncle Doug. He also has a hard head, a couple years ago he had 5 staples in his head. Last summer while we were helping mom and dad put their roof on,a hammer came off the roof and hit him in the head. He cryed for a few minutes and was fine. He has a high tollorence for pain. I would have cryed alot longer. We love Spencer.

Megan

Megan is our 4th child and the baby for now . She is almost 2 and spoilled rotten. Her brothers and sister wait on her hand and foot. Spencer loves to make her yell. She is really easy going most of the time. She is my observer. Her favorite thing is just sit and watch people. Megan is always smiling and happy. I am glad she is around to make me feel good. Bryce thinks she is wonderful. In family prayer he always thanks Heavenly Father for Megan. Not about anyone else just Megan. They are going to have such a sweet bond. Megan doesn't talk yet I am sure it is because she doesn't have to. She walked at 18 1/2 months. She is just taking her time. We all love having her around.

We decided that since we just got our pigs Haley could be fern from Charlette's Web. We are at the trunker treat at the church. As you can see we decorated our van with straw. Megan is a bunny like everyother 2 year old I have had. Bryce is the Sheriff and then we have a firefighter or as Spencer says it fighter fighter. We didn't get any pictures of Rob and I , but we were dressed up as farmers.

This has been a strange week. The Christmas song "Let it Snow" totally fits. We have gotten a foot and a half of snow. The kids are having a ball . Rob is enjoying it too.

Our suprise 15 year annivesary Disneyland trip thanks to my parents who got us to California and also payed for the hotel stay. We will be grateful forever for that opportunity. Just the two of us with no kids for 6 days.
